Going the Distance for a Good Cause with Great Colleagues!

I have the privilege to be a part of a team that will go the distance from Amsterdam to Ghent over a 24 hour period. We will run in teams of TomTomers and relay our way through 264 kms. We are also having a fundraising challenge between the teams - so please support me in this run!

I am lucky enough to be able to run and would like to use this event to raise money for a cause that impacts many individuals and is caused by an individual's own immune system. The immune system attacks and destroys the insulin the body produces. Perhaps someday in the future we will understand why this happens, and will be able to address it. Until that time, a person with type 1 diabetes will have around 65,000 injections and measure their blood glucose over 80,000 times in their lifetime.
